Vitoria Stone Fair, Espirito Santo, Brazil 7-10 February 2023
With new spaces designed to facilitate the closing of deals between the 220+ exhibitors and visitors to the fair, Vitoria Stone Fair, the largest in South America, takes place from 7 to 10 February in Espírito Santo, Brazil.
Architects, designers, the construction market, and stone companies visit the fair, which, in 2023, is the stage for two major projects prepared by renowned professionals in partnership with Milanez & Milaneze, the event organizer (part of the VeronaFiere Group). They are the Stone Concept and a special edition of the Stone Summit Casa Vogue, which between them aim to present the many ways Brazilian dimension stones are used.
Flávia Milaneze, CEO of Milanez & Milaneze, says the evolution of the event came naturally. “The fair was part of the trajectory of thousands of companies in Brazil and abroad. Over the past 20 years, we have helped build dreams, strengthen relationships, drive higher flights. Now, after three years without holding the fair [because of the pandemic], we want to deliver even more results, through new experiences and solutions.
"However, with the same purpose that moved us all these years: to generate value and business opportunities, understanding that Vitoria Stone Fair is the greatest strategic positioning tool in the sector.”
Brazil has been a major exporter of natural stones for many years, and the Brazilians say the UK, where Brazilian quartzite in particular has become a favourite for kitchen worktops and bathroom vanities, is their third largest market.
Ed Martins, president of Sindirochas, the Association of Ornamental Stone, Lime & Limestone Industries of the State of Espírito Santo, says the sector is optimistic about the fair. “Despite the difficulties faced over the last few years, the stone sector in Espírito Santo was responsible for 83.3% of the total value of stone exports carried out by Brazil, accumulating US$1.14billion in 2021.
"It gives us a feeling of optimism that we see reflected in this edition of the resumption of Vitoria Stone Fair. The perspective is that we have an audience that is even more focused on generating business and future opportunities."
